AN INFINITE REALM OF POSSIBILITIES - In today's episode, Bryan, Sam and Nida discuss the benefits of mediation in family law matters, including their high success rate, the creative control parties have in formulating agreements that just aren't possible in a court setting, the extreme flexibility the venue provides for non-standard custody arrangements, e.g., professions with unconventional work schedules or parents that live in different states or countries, the ability to work out asset transfers between parties in the most convenient or tax-efficient way possible, the confidentiality requirement of both mediators and the mediations themselves, the voluntary nature of the process and higher odds of finding a resolution that won't require lengthy and costly future modifications, and in general less time to resolution. They also discuss updates on the ever-fascinating Brittney Spears story, as well as developments in the Kevin Kostner divorce.
